Business Analyst ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Hardware Asset Management and IT Asset Management.

Work with stakeholders to understand current asset management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Translate business requirements into ServiceNow HAM functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Analyze and improve end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle processes including:

Asset request and procurement

Receiving and stockroom management

Asset assignment and deployment

Transfers and maintenance

Returns, refresh, and disposal

Asset retirement and reconciliation

Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and administrators to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.

Support HAM/HAM Pro implementation, configuration, and process enhancements.

Work with CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM teams to ensure accurate asset and CI relationships.

Define data requirements, asset attributes, workflows, business rules, and reporting needs.

Support asset data migration, cleansing, reconciliation, and validation activities.

Prepare functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and test scenarios.

Coordinate UAT, validate solutions against business requirements, and manage defect resolution.

Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and user guides.

Support ITAM governance, compliance, audit requirements, and continuous process improvement.

Participate in workshops, requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, demos, and stakeholder meetings .
