Position Summary

Marquis Technologies is looking for a talented Python Automation Engineer to join its wireless testing and automation team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python-based test automation, framework development, and networking technologies, with exposure to WiFi/WLAN testing and protocol analysis.

Detailed Job Description

As a Python Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and validation solutions for WiFi and wireless networking products. You will work closely with development, QA, and networking teams to validate product functionality, improve test coverage, and accelerate release cycles through automation. The role requires strong Python programming skills, handson experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest, and a solid understanding of networking concepts and wireless technologies. Candidates with WiFi automation experience, wireless protocol knowledge, and Linux-based testing expertise will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and test suites

Create scalable automated test solutions for WiFi and wireless networking products

Develop reusable automation scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage

Execute, monitor, and analyze automated test results and defect reports

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing activities

Validate wireless networking behavior, roaming functionality, and protocol compliance

Analyze network traffic using packet capture and protocol analysis tools

Collaborate with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects

Support continuous integration and automated testing initiatives

Troubleshoot complex software, networking, and wirelessrelated issues

Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and validation procedures

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and automation strategies

Required Qualifications & Skills

2-5 years of experience in Python Development, Test Automation, or Software Validation

Strong Python programming and scripting expertise

Handson experience with PyTest and automated testing frameworks

Experience developing automation frameworks from the ground up

Knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices

Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols

Experience in network testing and troubleshooting

Handson experience using Wireshark for packet analysis and debugging

Knowledge of Linux operating systems and commandline tools

Understanding of WiFi/WLAN technologies and wireless networking fundamentals

Familiarity with IEEE 802.11 standards and WiFi roaming concepts

Strong analytical, debugging, and problemsolving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

Handson WiFi automation testing experience

Experience with OpenWrtbased platforms

Experience working with RDK-B (Reference Design Kit for Broadband) environments

Knowledge of wireless access points, gateways, and broadband devices

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution environments

Experience with Robot Framework, Selenium, or additional automation tools

Exposure to embedded Linux and networking product testing
