About the job:As an editor at Wisdom Tree, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on a variety of trade books in English. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 1 year of experience in full-time book editing. Web content writing experience will not be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a publishing/editing course.

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit and proofread manuscripts to ensure high-quality content and adherence to company standards. Knowledge of the Oxford Manual of Style and editorial style sheets is mandatory.

2. Collaborate with authors, designers, and other team members to create engaging and marketable books

3. Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts

4. Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy of information in books

5. Develop creative ideas for book content and design to appeal to target audiences

6. Assist in marketing and promotional activities for books, including writing blurbs and press releases

7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve editing skills
