Why This Role is DifferentThis isn't a conventional interior design or procurement role.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Travel regularly to China and Italy to meet world-class manufacturers.Attend international furniture exhibitions and design fairs.Discover emerging global design trends before they reach India.Build long-term relationships with manufacturers, artisans and suppliers across different cultures.Curate products that become part of MINOS's luxury collection.Participate in luxury client consultations and influence design decisions.Work directly with the founders of a fast-growing luxury brand.Build a truly global career in luxury interiors.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Consultation & Product CurationParticipate in client meetings to understand lifestyle requirements, design aspirations and functional needs.Interpret architectural drawings, floor plans and furniture layouts.Develop mood boards, furniture concepts and curated material palettes.Recommend furniture, lighting and dcor solutions aligned with client requirements.Work closely with the founders and design team to create exceptional luxury interiors.Stay updated on international design trends and emerging luxury brands.

Global Product SourcingIdentify and source premium furniture, lighting, kitchens, wardrobes and dcor from international manufacturers.Build long-term relationships with suppliers across China, Italy and other global markets.Evaluate new product collections, materials, finishes and innovations.Negotiate pricing, specifications, production timelines and commercial terms.Conduct supplier evaluations and factory visits.

Vendor DevelopmentBuild strategic partnerships with international manufacturers.Coordinate quotations, product specifications and production schedules.Maintain supplier databases and sourcing documentation.Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout procurement.

Project CoordinationCoordinate with suppliers, logistics partners and the internal design team.Support procurement planning and project execution.Resolve sourcing-related challenges during project delivery.

International TravelThe role requires frequent international travel (approximately 1012 days every month) primarily to China and Italy for:

Factory visitsSupplier meetingsFurniture exhibitionsDesign fairsProduct discoveryQuality inspectionsMarket research

Experience46 years of professional experience.Experience in interior design is preferred.Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, buying, merchandising or vendor development will be highly preferred.Experience in furniture, interiors, luxury retail or home dcor will be an advantage.

Essential SkillsDesign & Technical SkillsStrong understanding of residential interior design principles.Ability to interpret architectural drawings, floor plans and furniture layouts.Experience developing design concepts, mood boards and material palettes.Good understanding of furniture, lighting, kitchens, wardrobes and luxury interior finishes.Strong product curation and aesthetic judgement.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential.Experience with Enscape, V-Ray, 3ds Max, Photoshop or similar visualization software will be an added advantage.

Sourcing & Commercial SkillsExperience in sourcing, procurement, buying, merchandising or vendor development.Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.Ability to evaluate products based on quality, craftsmanship and commercial viability.Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail.Passion for .
