Scm / Material Planning Executive A Swedish Owned Company Chennai (India)

Role & responsibilities

Plan and arrange procurement of raw materials, components, consumables and packaging based on production requirements and inventory status.

Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials to prevent production stoppages.

Coordinate with suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery schedules, shortages and material quality issues.

Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Finance to align material availability with the manufacturing plan.

Maintain material planning records, open purchase order status and shortage reports.

Identify slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory and support corrective actions.

Support supplier performance monitoring for delivery, quality and responsiveness.

Ensure material storage, identification and traceability practices support operational requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline.

Experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory control or manufacturing supply chain preferred.

Solid knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing workplace is an advantage. .
