About the Role

We are looking for an industry mentor to deliver a 24-hour, mentor-led programme in UI/UX Designing with AI Assistance. The mentor will guide learners through user-centered design, research and information architecture, Figma wireframing and prototyping, design systems, accessibility, developer handoff, and usability evaluation. The role calls for clear instruction, practical demonstrations, and supportive feedback for learners who may be new to UI/UX and AI design tools.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience researching, designing, testing, and documenting digital product experiences. They should be comfortable using AI to explore design options and support research synthesis, content, accessibility review, and evaluation while checking suggestions against user needs and design evidence.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver interactive sessions and guided design exercises across all six programme modules within the proposed

Explain UI and UX foundations, design thinking, human-computer interaction, usability heuristics, and responsible AI use in design.

Guide learners in user research, personas, empathy maps, journey maps, information architecture, navigation, card sorting, and user flows.

Demonstrate low- and high-fidelity wireframes, Figma components and auto layout, typography, color, grids, and interactive prototypes.

Coach learners in creating design tokens and component libraries, responsive and mobile-first screens, and inclusive designs aligned with WCAG fundamentals.

Show how to use AI design tools and prompts for rapid iteration, image and icon exploration, content creation, and accessibility recommendations with human review.

Guide prototype testing, usability and heuristic evaluation, UX metrics, stakeholder feedback, design reviews, and developer handoff documentation.

Support the capstone by reviewing an interactive prototype, helping learners act on usability findings, and preparing clear design deliverables and an AI-assisted UX report.

Conduct pre- and post-assessments, quizzes, doubt-clearing discussions, and practical reviews; monitor progress and provide actionable feedback.

Prepare or adapt design briefs, examples, exercises, and evaluation materials; document learner outcomes and contribute to the consolidated trainer performance report.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design, UX research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and usability evaluation.

Hands-on proficiency with Figma for wireframing, components, auto layout, interactive prototyping, and developer handoff.

Experience building design systems, responsive layouts, and accessible interfaces with an understanding of WCAG fundamentals.

Ability to run or interpret usability tests, heuristic reviews, and basic UX metrics and translate findings into design improvements.

Ability to use AI design assistance critically for ideation, research support, content, and visual exploration while validating outputs and protecting user information.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX or product design, including practical work on digital product interfaces. Experience mentoring or training learners is an advantage.

Soft Skills

Clear communication and the ability to explain design decisions through examples and constructive critique.

Patient, learner-friendly approach to design reviews and resolving questions.

Strong facilitation, assessment, feedback, and progress reporting skills.

Ability to manage session time and collaborate with programme stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience delivering instructor-led or industry training in UI/UX design.

Exposure to cross-functional product teams, developer handoff, and AI-assisted design workflows.
